The Summer 8’s Social Series has ended up being a great social comp. Apart from a few hiccups the majority of comp has seen plenty of fun and plenty of improvement by all. It has been quite a close competition with the winner yet to be decided in the final round.

For those who are interested in taking part in a similar competition next year during the winter season, there will be a form to fill out at the last round next week where you can leave your name and contact details. We will break for a couple of months over Christmas and look at starting something around the beginning of March 2010.

Thanks again for all those who took part, without you all the competition wouldn’t have been the success it turned out to be.

 Social 8’s Summer Series

The Social 8’s Summer Series being hosted by the Seniors is well under way and is shaping up to be a great social event. For all the details and up to date results click on the Seniors link to the left.

Break-up begins at 3pm on Saturday the 12th of September.  Activities will include tug of war, worm tag, bib tag, an obstacle race, and dizzy shooting.  Trophies will then be presented after 5 o’clock.  Hope to see you there!

Congratulations to everyone for an excellent fun day!  Well done to all the players and thank you very much to everyone who volunteered.  There are three more Friday night games to go and then there will be the break-up on September the 12th (start time: 3pm).  So enjoy the rest of the season and we’ll hope to see you at the Friday night games.

This is looking like it might be a well-attended fun day.  Keep an eye on the website to find out which teams will be turning up.

The seniors are playing Dysart and Emerald on Saturday the 8th.  The bar will be open and there should be plenty of goals – hopefully at the other end this time!  Come down and watch if you want to.  First game kicks off at 1pm.

The site has been built by Jonathan Tolhurst as a free commmunity service and has been tested to work in Firefox 2+3, Internet Explorer 7+8, Google Chrome and Apple Safari. The site is proudly based on the WordPress Content Management System.
